Eric’s Rx Shoppe in Horsham, Pa., was honored with Upper Dublin Township’s Outstanding Community Business. Since 2020, Eric’s Rx Shoppe has coordinated ongoing efforts to provide the community and schools with access to COVID-19 testing, vaccines, and pertinent health information. The pharmacy established onsite vaccine clinics within the Upper Dublin School District and at numerous area school districts as well. To better accommodate the community, Eric’s Rx Shoppe added additional retail space in order to provide services and resources more efficiently and safely for all appropriate age groups, emphasizing COVID-19 vaccines. Eric Abramowitz and his business partner, Marc Ost, recruited at least a dozen medical professionals to assist with the vaccination process, documentation, and to provide health information. Services were provided at no cost for all those involved and included water and snacks for recipients.
