Betty White racked up a lot of accolades in almost 100 years of living. With a seven-decade career, and multiple Emmy awards, she was a true Hollywood icon. And now, the state of Minnesota has honored her by naming one of its new snowplows the Betty Whiteout. More than 40,000 Minnesota residents voted on the name, which edged out Ctrl Salt Delete, The Big Leplowski, Plowasaurus Rex, Scoop Dogg, Blizzard of Oz, No More Mr. Ice Guy, and Edward Blizzardhands. Two of White’s most famous characters had Minnesota ties – her “Mary Tyler Moore Show” character, Sue Ann Nivens, worked for a TV station in Minneapolis, and her “Golden Girls” character, Rose Nylund, was a native of St. Olaf, Minn.
