Reminder! Tune in to ECAPS hearing today

NCPA September 15, 2026

At 10:15 a.m. ET today, tune in to the House Energy and Commerce Subcommittee on Health’s hearing during which several bills, including the Ensuring Community Access to Pharmacist Services Act (H.R. 3164), will be discussed. You might recall that this bill was passed out of the Ways and Means Committee earlier this year, making this its next step in the legislative process. ECAPS is an NCPA policy priority as it would ensure Medicare beneficiaries can easily access health care services by authorizing reimbursement for pharmacists whose states allow them to test and treat COVID-19, flu, respiratory syncytial virus, and strep throat.

NCPA is working with the broader pharmacy community and the subcommittee to advocate for final passage of this legislation. Check out our statement for the record. You can watch the hearing, titled Examining Legislative Proposals to Reform Medicare Provider Payment and Bolster Health Care Security,” here.
