The University of Oklahoma College of Pharmacy recently welcomed presentations from two Oklahoma state representatives and NCPA Board of Directors Chair Justin Wilson for a campus visit that connected students with independent pharmacy leadership and advocacy opportunities. The event gave students valuable insight into the role pharmacists can play in shaping health care policy.
NCPA leadership has committed to making pharmacy school visits a priority as part of their service and encourages other NCPA members to also arrange visits with your school’s NCPA Student Chapter. Inviting state legislators to campus helps showcase the importance of independent pharmacy while building relationships that can strengthen advocacy efforts at the state level.
