Upcoming NCPA Items for Pharmacy Teams

ALEXANDRIA, Va. (July 31, 2024) – The National Community Pharmacists Association is pleased to announce these upcoming events for pharmacists and pharmacy team members:

  • July 31 –
    • Registration deadline for the NCPA Innovation Center/CPESN Community Pharmacy Fellowship. This executive MBA-like program showcases outstanding pharmacy peers who walk participants through implementing successful services that generate revenue beyond dispensing. There are a limited number of scholarships available on a first come, first served basis. Learn more and register.*
    • Registration deadline for NCPA’s CORE leadership and business development program. Aimed at anyone looking to expand their leadership skills and business acumen, CORE has been designed to improve confidence and experience in areas where pharmacy owners say they often feel least equipped: financials, operations, marketing, and leadership.   • Aug. 5 – Registration deadline for the Diabetes Accreditation Boot Camp. The NCPA Innovation Center is teaming up with PharmFurther to offer this turnkey online course that will help prepare participants for DSME accreditation in six weeks or less so they can bill Medicare and other payers for diabetes education they’re probably already providing.   • Aug. 15 – A Community Pharmacy’s Guide to the Evolving Role of GLP-1 Receptor Agonists for Diabetes Management, part of our monthly NCPA Learning Hour series. GLP-1 agonists are underused in clinical practice for a multitude of reasons, including reimbursement, prior authorizations and access. This educational program aims to close this gap by providing pharmacists with the latest clinical insights and effective communication strategies for GLP-1 receptor agonists. Learn more and register.
  • Ongoing –
    • Encouraging community pharmacy teams to invite their federal representatives for a pharmacy visit during the August or October in-district work periods. PBM payment reform is within reach. This important initiative will push for progress and keep community pharmacy on the minds of members of Congress. Learn more and sign up to participate.
    • Registration is open for the Pre-Convention Growth and Profitability Programs being held in Columbus ahead of the NCPA 2024 Annual Convention. Early bird rates are available for these programs through Aug. 15. Learn more and register.
    • Registration is open for the NCPA 2024 Annual Convention and Expo. The convention will be held Oct. 26-29 in Columbus, Ohio, with the theme of “GPS: Growth, Performance, Success.” Learn more and register.
