A jumping-off point for grads interested in independent practice or association management

NCPA October 23, 2026

Know a promising pharmacy school student on the cusp of graduation? Let them know about the NCPA Executive Residency program. It’s a 13-month on-the-job learning opportunity for PharmD graduates looking to build a career in association management or independent pharmacy. Residents embed at NCPA from June 1 through June 30 of the following year and work on a variety of projects, including developing and marketing new programming, representing NCPA with industry stakeholders in written and in-person formats, and engaging directly in our advocacy efforts. Recruitment for the residency is now live and will be open through Dec. 15.

You can learn more about the program in these interviews we did with our 2025-2026 residents for our Independent Rx Forum podcast. Hear the first episode here, and the second one here. While you’re at it, subscribe to the show wherever you get your podcasts (links here)!
