NCPA welcomed Congress back after their August recess with a reminder of the concerns raised over truthfulness of testimony provided by the CEOs of the three largest PBMs during a July hearing in the Oversight and Accountability Committee. We’re also reminding Congress that with few legislative days remaining, it is imperative that they finish the job on PBM reform this year.
Congress is focused now on passing a Continuing Resolution to keep the government open through the end of the fiscal year on Sept. 30, before members return home to campaign in their districts for the month of October. NCPA will keep up the pressure with our Finish the Fight campaign with the goal of including PBM reform in an end-of-year package.
