“Bingo!” It’s what you say to verify that something’s correct, as a reaction to something unexpected or instantaneous, or—most thrilling of all—to announce to your competitors your winning move in bingo. And National Bingo Day, which is today, June 27, celebrates America’s enduring love of the game. You can find games locally in cities and towns across the country or, in keeping with our digital age, you can play on your phone whenever you please through any number of apps. A downside? It (probably) doesn’t feel as exhilarating to yell “bingo” into the void vs. the bingo hall.
