Last week, NCPA member Danny Cottrell, president of Health Clinic Pharmacy, visited with Rep. Mike Rogers (R-Ala.) as part of NCPA’s Month of Action campaign. Cottrell took the opportunity to thank Rogers, who serves as chairman of the House Armed Services Committee, for his continued support of Alabama’s independent community pharmacists. As chairman, Rogers plays an important role in supporting and strengthening Alabama’s extensive military facilities.
NCPA appreciates his continued support and looks forward to working with him on issues important to independent community pharmacies and the communities they serve, such as PBM and Tricare reform and the future of the profession.
Also pictured is Jerry Carl, a Republican candidate is running for Alabama’s First Congressional District; he previously represented the same district between 2021 and 2025.
Pharmacy visits like these are an effective way to communicate to legislators the critical necessity for passing additional PBM reforms into law. Take advantage of NCPA’s Month of Action resources and invite your legislators to visit your pharmacy.
