representative tenney visit to ncpa pac chairman pharmacy

Rep. Claudia Tenney (R-N.Y.) stopped by Middleport Family Health Center in Middleport, N.Y., in a visit as part of NCPA's Month of Action campaign. Owner Steve Giroux, who is also an NCPA past president and current chairman of the NCPA PAC, shared how PBMs interfere with its ability to provide care, including through underwater reimbursements. Tenney is a member of the House Ways and Means Committee Health Subcommittee.

Giroux also shared NCPA’s policy priorities with Tenney, including our efforts to ensure an audit of the Tricare pharmacy program, and showed her the pharmacy’s CPESN® services.

Visits such as these are critical to ensuring additional PBM reforms pass this Congress. Turn the current congressional recess periods into results by hosting your legislators for a pharmacy visit! Face-to-face meetings are the most impactful way to convey the urgency of enacting additional legislative measures this year. Legislators are away from Washington until the end of August for the House and after Labor Day for the Senate. They are scheduled to be away again from Oct. 2-Nov. 8. These are great opportunities to host members of Congress or their key staff for a visit to your pharmacy.
