Show Congress the value of independent pharmacy by hosting a visit

NCPA June 16, 2026

Since the NCPA Congressional Pharmacy Fly-In, we’ve seen additional movement on NCPA priority legislation. Help keep the momentum going by inviting your legislator to visit your pharmacy during an in-district work period, including now through June 22, July 3-12, and July 24-Aug. 30. Pharmacy visits help members of Congress and their staff better understand the services you provide to your patients, the challenges you face, and the need for additional PBM reforms.

Advocacy by NCPA and its members has been key to the momentum we’ve seen on priority legislation in Congress. The House Ways and Means Committee advanced H.R. 3164, the “Main Street Pharmacy Access Act” (formerly ECAPS), to allow pharmacists to bill Medicare for certain immunizations, while the House Education and Workforce Committee passed H.R. 7895, the “PBM Kickback Prohibition Act,” out of committee by a unanimous vote!

A pharmacy visit is a great way to encourage further progress. It’s an election year, and members of Congress will be looking for opportunities to get out and meet voters. An event at your pharmacy is the perfect photo-op, so take advantage of it.
