TrumpRx adds more than 600 generics

The White House announced it was expanding the drugs offered by TrumpRx, a website that serves as a portal to direct patients to the lowest cash prices for specific drugs. As of Monday, the price comparison program now offers over 600 generic medications.

TrumpRx will integrate discounts from online vendors and programs into the price comparisons, including Mark Cuban Cost Plus Drugs, GoodRx, and Amazon Pharmacy. A fact sheet from the White House states the program “will not have offerings for controlled substances, drugs with FDA-mandated risk evaluation and mitigation strategies, and medications not commonly offered through direct-to-consumer channels.”

The online search tool should list local pharmacies, but NCPA understands that independent pharmacies may not be listed at this time. We are communicating with the White House, asking that it ensure independent pharmacies are listed on the site.
