Grocery store chain Albertson's sued Express Scripts, Inc. last week, alleging the PBM violated its contract by classifying prescription drugs as brand-name drugs and then reclassifying them as generics. By doing so after patients had paid for them as brand drugs, the complaint says, ESI was improperly reimbursing Albertson's at a lower rate.
