ALEXANDRIA, Va. (Nov. 4, 2022) – Grab your favorite snack and your notepad; the National Community Pharmacists Association is unveiling the first episode of its new educational reality series, “Show Me.” It’s a video series styled after popular TV makeover shows, only these stars are real pharmacists who need help getting a certain aspect of their business on track. This season the subject is immunizations.

In episode one, coaches Meredith Ayers, CPhT, and Tana N. Kaefer, PharmD, help pharmacy owners Chris and Gwen O’Neill of Circle Pharmacy in Philadelphia find additional streams of revenue by boosting their immunization program. As Ayers and Kaefer quickly find out, the O’Neills are accustomed to doing it all. Can they incorporate their capable team as they work to reach the immunization goals developed with their “Show Me” coaches? Will they get overwhelmed and be left behind? Find out how they progress in episode one, titled “Jumpstart Our Program!”

“Pharmacy teams across the country can probably see themselves in Chris and Gwen; they’ve got a lot on their plates, yes, but they also have aims of providing patients in their communities with more services and quality care,” says NCPA Innovation Center President Kurt Proctor, PhD, RPh. “With ‘Show Me,’ we want to demonstrate ways community pharmacy owners can work with the people and resources they already have to establish successful vaccine programs. What better way to learn than from other pharmacists who have figured out how to be doing this well.”

The NCPA Innovation Center announced the project, which is sponsored by Pfizer, at the NCPA 2022 Annual Convention in early October. The rest of this season’s five episodes will be released in the coming weeks on NCPA’s various internet platforms including its website and YouTube channel, NCPAvids.
