July NCPA Events for Pharmacy Teams

ALEXANDRIA, Va. (June 29, 2022) – The National Community Pharmacists Association is pleased to announce these upcoming items for pharmacists and pharmacy team members:

  • July 27 – Put Me In, Coach! Building Your Pharmacy Team webinar. Support staff can play key roles in pharmacy workflow, provide enhanced services, and improve the bottom line. During this webinar a panel of all-star pharmacy team members who are specialists in medical billing, clinical service implementation, and leadership will share how they transitioned from technicians to advanced roles and the personal and professional changes that have followed.   • July 31 – Deadline to enroll for the 2022-2023 class of the NCPA Innovation Center/CPESN® Community Pharmacy Fellowship, sponsored by Good Neighbor Pharmacy. With the goal of advancing practice transformation, the fellowship is an intensive 12-month training program open to all practicing pharmacists working at a CPESN USA pharmacy.   • Ongoing – Encouraging community pharmacy teams to invite their federal representatives for a pharmacy visit during the August in-district work period. NCPA’s August Month of Action is in lieu of its typical fly-in to Washington, D.C. This important month of action will turn up the heat on pharmacy benefit manager-insurers and keep community pharmacy on the minds of members of Congress. Learn more and sign up to participate.

The NCPA Innovation Center will be offering continuing education for attendees at Cardinal Health’s Retail Business Conference, July 13-16, and Good Neighbor Pharmacy’s ThoughtSpot, July 20-23, once again. NCPA staff will be exhibiting at McKesson’s ideaShare, which takes place July 7-10 in Washington, D.C., in addition to Cardinal Health’s Retail Business Conference and Good Neighbor Pharmacy’s ThoughtSpot.

Additionally, NCPA offers a variety of on-demand programs available to pharmacy teams to take on their own schedule. These include Creating Health: Pharmacist-Led Lifestyle and Weight Management, a functional medicine series titled Thinking Outside the Vial, and an on-demand Business of Long-Term Care Workshop.
