Today’s schedule includes a whopping nine sessions covering a broad range of topics including pharmacy finances, evaluating new technologies’ ROI, and the evolving GLP-1 treatment landscape, as well as two “Shoot the Breeze” talks. It’s all focused on bringing you the “how to” behind best practices and emerging topics to help ensure you’ve got a sustainable pharmacy business that stands apart from the competition. Read on for details.
Our “Shoot the Breeze” sessions are free-flowing, non-CE conversations where you can ask questions and share tips on what is and isn’t working in your business. These sessions are for pharmacists and pharmacy technician attendees only. Those with vendor badges will not be permitted to join.
Here’s more on each:
- The first – a conversation about what’s working well in other pharmacies, including workflow best practices, vendor partners, and more – will take place 1:15-2:15 p.m. You’ll leave this dialogue with achievable concepts that will transform your business.
- The second will take place 2:45-3:45 p.m. and will cover technology. Whether you’re just beginning to explore new technologies and AI or already using digital tools to improve your pharmacy operations, this is your opportunity to exchange ideas and get your questions answered.
Here are a handful of our other business education sessions:
- “How to optimize your pharmacy’s financial performance,” 8-9 a.m., will cover how to interpret critical financial reports, identify opportunities for improvement, and use key metrics to uncover what is driving profitability and where adjustments are needed.
- An all-star team will convene in “How to respond to CMS' Part D reasonable and relevant RFI,” 8-9 a.m., to review key issues raised in a CMS request for information on “reasonable and relevant” Medicare Part D contract terms. Attendees will work through the RFI from a practical pharmacy perspective, identify areas where their experience can inform CMS, and learn how to develop clear, meaningful comments in response.
- In “How to evaluate ROI before investing in new technology,” 1:15-2:15 p.m., you’ll hear about the best ways to evaluate the true return on investment by analyzing costs and identifying measurable benefits, and walk away with a practical framework for exploring additional technologies.
- “How to position pharmacy as a partner in GLP-1 care,” 2:45-3:45 p.m., will review how to navigate an increasingly complex GLP-1 treatment landscape, translate the clinical evidence into practical patient conversations, manage common challenges that threaten persistence, and support patients from initiation through long-term therapy.
