Pharmacy visits resume during House recess

NCPA October 1, 2026

visitRep. Derrick Van Orden (R-Wis.) paid a visit to Center Pharmacy in Richland Center, Wis. to discuss pharmacy-related policy issues. Pharmacy owner Michelle Farrell and pharmacy staff stressed the importance of PBM reform to Van Orden and shared statistics with him on their own reimbursement. NCPA supported the Center Pharmacy team as it prepared for the visit.

Van Orden acknowledged that he is not an expert on pharmacy-related issues, illustrating the value that pharmacy visits have in showing other members of Congress why independent pharmacies matter in the communities they represent.

These face-to-face interactions leave a lasting impression and are effective in promoting a pro-pharmacy legislative agenda. Don’t miss your opportunity to meet with your legislator in-person when they are back in the district until after the election. Take advantage of  NCPA’s Month of Action  resources or contact Michael Rule at Michael.rule@ncpa.org for information on how to extend an invitation.
