NCPA PAC chairman travels to D.C. to advocate for pharmacy face-to-face

NCPA September 17, 2026

GirouxRecently, NCPA PAC Chairman Steve Giroux traveled to Washington, D.C. to support Rep. Nick Langworthy (R-N.Y.), who represents his district. While in Washington, Giroux had the opportunity to speak with several key figures, including CMS Administrator Mehmet Oz, House Majority Whip Steve Scalise (R-La.), and Reps. Brett Guthrie (R-Ky.), chairman of the House Energy and Commerce Committee, and Jim Jordan (R-Ohio), chairman of the House Judiciary Committee.

These face-to-face interactions leave a lasting impression and are effective in promoting a pro-pharmacy legislative agenda. Don’t miss your opportunity to meet with your legislator in person when they are back in the district. The House is currently scheduled to recess today, Sept. 17, and the Senate will follow suit at the end of the month. Both chambers are expected to be recessed until after the election, providing a great opportunity for you to invite your legislators to visit your pharmacy. Take advantage of NCPA’s Month of Action resources or contact Michael Rule at michael.rule@ncpa.org for information on how to extend an invitation.
