The House Energy and Commerce Subcommittee on Health said it will hold a hearing tomorrow, Sept. 15, considering several bills including H.R. 3164, the Ensuring Community Access to Pharmacist Services Act, that was passed out of the Ways and Means Committee earlier this year. This legislation is an NCPA policy priority as it would ensure Medicare beneficiaries can easily access health care services by authorizing pharmacists to test and treat COVID-19, flu, respiratory syncytial virus, and strep throat.
NCPA is working with the broader pharmacy community and the subcommittee to advocate for final passage of this legislation. You can watch the hearing, titled ”Examining Legislative Proposals to Reform Medicare Provider Payment and Bolster Health Care Security,” here.
