ACCESS to Pharmacy Care enrollment expands this week

NCPA September 1, 2026

ACCESS to Pharmacy Care enrollment is beginning to expand, with the first round of invitations expected to start going out this week. Initial invitations will be sent to pharmacies that have previously expressed interest in the program or participated in introductory ACCESS activities. Additional enrollment waves are planned as the program continues to grow.

Pharmacies that meet program participation requirements, including the current medication synchronization threshold, may be eligible for future enrollment opportunities. If your pharmacy has not yet expressed interest, visit the ACCESS overview website to learn more about the program and submit an interest form to receive future updates and enrollment communications.

ACCESS to Pharmacy Care is an NCPA® program, powered by CPESN® in partnership with GamePlan Medical, a CMS ACCESS participant. The program continues to evolve with additional ways for community and long-term care pharmacies to participate in serving patients with Original Medicare. You can find a quick explanation of the program here.

In addition to the current Active Care Delivery pathway (an existing program), a new Co-Management/Referral pathway is under development. This pathway will provide pharmacies with greater flexibility by creating additional options for supporting eligible Medicare patients based on their practice model, staffing, and care delivery capabilities.

As CMS guidance becomes available, more information will be shared regarding participation options, workflow expectations, and eligibility requirements.
