In Spokane, Wash., thousands were evacuated and hundreds of structures were destroyed due to wildfires that were sparked Aug. 1. In Chicago and other areas of northeastern Illinois and northwestern Indiana, communities were affected on July 27 by destructive winds paired with heavy hail and flash flooding. Independent pharmacies in both areas facing operational, facility, or inventory losses can apply for emergency funding through the NCPA Foundation's Disaster Relief Fund.
