NCPA announces Student Business Plan Competition finalists

NCPA July 21, 2026

Congratulations to the teams of pharmacy students from the University of Mississippi, the University of Texas at Austin, and the University of Washington for being named as finalists in the 2026 Good Neighbor Pharmacy NCPA Pruitt-Schutte Student Business Plan Competition. The three teams have put together impressive, thought-out plans for purchasing or starting up a pharmacy. They’ll present their plans at the 2026 NCPA Annual Convention, Oct. 3-6, in Kansas City, Mo., and the winner will be announced during the convention’s First General Session.

The Student Business Plan Competition, supported by Good Neighbor Pharmacy, Pharmacists Mutual Insurance Company, and the NCPA Foundation, is one of many ways NCPA works to prepare tomorrow’s pharmacy entrepreneurs for a successful future. The first-place team will win $6,000 shared among the presenting team members, in addition to complimentary registration, travel, and lodging to NCPA’s 2027 Multiple Locations Conference this February in Florida. The second-place team will receive $4,000, and the third-place team $2,000.
