Last Thursday Connect is a virtual "hallway conversation" series designed to bring NCPA Long-Term Care Division members together for practical, peer-driven discussions. Our next session will take place next Thursday, May 28 at 3 p.m. ET, as the LTC Steering Committee continues the conversation with "From Care Gaps to Care Access: A Specialty Pharmacy Story."
The discussion will be facilitated by LTC Committee Chair and NCPA Vice President Scott Pace, PharmD, JD, joined by AllCare Specialty Pharmacy co-owner Stephen Carroll, PharmD, MBA. While working in long-term care, Carroll and his colleagues noticed that most specialty medications were only available by mail, and Arkansans did not have the ability to obtain specialty medications from a pharmacy located in their state. As a result, they opened AllCare Specialty Pharmacy, the first dedicated specialty pharmacy in Arkansas.
