Cascadia Pharmacy Group has launched a public awareness campaign titled “Small Pharmacy. Big Care” to ensure patients across the Pacific Northwest (and beyond) understand what their neighborhood pharmacy can do for them. Billboards in three Oregon communities have sent community members to the campaign’s website to view a documentary-style film featuring real pharmacists and real patients.
The CPG campaign is intended to increase the visibility of services that independent pharmacists provide, including tobacco cessation assistance, immunizations, medication therapy management, and chronic disease support, among many others. So far, CPG — whose CEO is NCPA Immediate Past President Jeff Harrell — has seen over 216,000 interactions with the campaign per week.
The effort is built to work in conjunction with NCPA’s ongoing “Neighbors, Not Numbers” branding campaign. It’s funded by the Oregon Health Authority and facilitated by the Oregon State University College of Pharmacy.
