Attendees will learn about current epidemiology trends and national mental health statistics within the United States and strategies to engage health care teams and patients in mental health awareness and early intervention initiatives. The course will also identify opportunities to collaborate with community stakeholders to expand access to education, referral pathways, and mental health services. The session will also teach attendees how to recognize common myths, stigma, and cultural barriers to support trauma-informed, culturally competent, and equitable care.
