Our Diabetes Accreditation Boot Camp is built to set you up to be quickly accredited to offer diabetes self-management education, a billable service that can net pharmacies hundreds of dollars an hour. In this virtual training, Travis Wolff, PharmD, will walk attendees through the accreditation and Medicare billing processes for DSME. The next cohort will kick off Feb. 25.
DSME allows pharmacists to improve quality of life for their patients while expanding their businesses. One-on-one DSME pays $120 per hour, and group education pays $28 per hour, per person for up to 20 people. That's a potential total of $560 per hour, all staying in your business, not the PBMs'.
The program includes six one-hour meetings to review documentation required for accreditation and walks enrollees through how to bill Medicare for DSME. Enrollees also receive access to on-demand consultations, recorded class meetings, customizable operations manuals, and four weeks of additional, complimentary support after the six-week course ends.
