MAHA report released

On Tuesday, the Department of Health and Human Services and other federal agencies released the "Make Our Children Healthy Again Strategy," described as a sweeping plan with more than 120 initiatives to reverse the failed policies that fueled America's childhood chronic disease epidemic. The strategy document outlines an approach for executive actions to address the childhood chronic disease crisis through the following: (1) advancing research, (2) realigning incentives, (3) increasing public awareness, and (4) fostering private sector collaborations.

Earlier this year the president's Make America Health Again Commission, led by HHS Secretary Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., was charged with producing an assessment on childhood chronic disease and to produce a strategy to improve the health of American children, which resulted in this week's MAHA report.
