The NCPA State Government Affairs team, Joel Kurzman and Belawoe Akwakoku, provided a webinar reviewing 2025 legislative activity in the states, including developments around pharmacy reimbursement, successful legislation to reform PBMs, Medicaid Managed Care programs, and payment for services via expanded scope of practice. The SGA team provided insight about trends, emerging issues, and best practices. NCPA will make the webinar available online soon.
While most state legislatures are adjourned, some states will continue to meet through the remainder of the year. Please look for NCPA’s State Wins for Community Pharmacy report published around the time of our Annual Meeting in October. It is a comprehensive review of all enacted legislation and regulations for NCPA priority issues. If necessary, NCPA will update the document in December to reflect the full year’s outcomes.
