The Arkansas House of Representatives voted 95-0 in support of H.B. 1620, legislation addressing issues of prompt payment from PBMs to pharmacies and pharmacists. The bill defines "clean claims" and establishes payment timelines of seven to 14 days after receipt of an electronic claim and 30 days after receipt of a paper claim. Penalties include 12 percent interest per month for late payment. H.B. 1620 is now referred to the Senate Insurance and Commerce Committee.
