The Drug Enforcement Administration holds the event annually to educate the public on medication misuse and encourage them to remove unneeded medications from their home. The NCPA Foundation and the DEA have resources you can use to promote the safe disposal of prescription drugs, prevent medication misuse, and protect the environment.
The DEA has posters, pamphlets, social media resources, and other tools you can use to inform your patients on how to safely dispose of medications.
