panelRight down the road from the Nexus Conference, NCPDP held its 2024 Annual Technology & Business Conference, themed Innovation Starts Here, in Scottsdale. Its opening keynote panel discussion featured NCPA board member Christian Tadrus, PharmD (pictured on stage and on the big screen), who is currently serving on the NCPDP board, as well. “Looking down the road at key topics including reimbursement, workforce challenges and opportunities, as well as policy and regulation,” said Tadrus, “We’re dealing with complicated questions about how much time pharmacists will spend dispensing five years from now or how the clinical pharmacy model will differ from the retail model.” Tadrus also raised questions about two pharmacy issues that are part of the national health care discourse. “How will artificial intelligence change the role of pharmacists and their engagement with patients? Where will we be with health equity?” Stay tuned to qAM as we cover those issues, as well, in the coming months and years.
