Today, the Senate Finance Committee and the House Energy and Commerce Subcommittee on Oversight and Investigations will hold separate hearings to discuss the cyberattack on Change Healthcare in February and how it impacts patients and providers. At both hearings, the CEO of UnitedHealth Group, Andrew Witty, will testify on how this attack occurred due to a security misstep and how his company responded. NCPA sent messages to both committees highlighting the effect this attack continues to have on pharmacies and their patients, a timeline of events, as well as examples from seven pharmacies on how they personally were affected.
