This week NCPA began to roll out a digital ad campaign aimed at Capitol Hill. This ad targets members of Congress and their staff by appearing in their browser ads and in top news outlets and will run over the next two weeks leading up to the government funding deadline. We are working to ensure our priorities become part of what’s expected to be a broader health care package that will be included in this next funding bill. This campaign prompts legislators to “Pass PBM Reform Now!” and directs them to the campaign’s landing page. It emphasizes the oversized impact of PBMs and their bad practices and highlights support for NCPA priority legislation, such as Medicaid managed care spread pricing and reimbursement reform, as well as requiring reasonable and relevant contract terms under Medicare Part D and creating a process for pharmacies to report contract violations. Our goal remains to pass a final package enacting meaningful PBM reform that can be signed into law in the coming weeks. You can see the landing page for this campaign here.
