Oklahoma lawmakers excoriate CVS/Caremark for “misinformation” and “lying”

Oklahoma lawmakers took aim at CVS/Caremark at a press conference on Monday for “intentionally lying” to consumers about not being able to fill 90-day prescriptions due to state laws. State Reps. Jon Echols and Marcus McIntyre, state Sen. Greg McCortney, and Oklahoma Insurance Commissioner Glen Mulready assured Oklahomans that 90-day prescriptions are, indeed, legal and any attempt to say otherwise is misinformation. “These companies take from Oklahoma consumers. They increase the cost of their prescriptions all in the name of shareholder profit,” said Rep. McIntyre. “The PBM industry is attempting to create uncertainty for our own constituents, and we will not sit idly by.” Don’t miss additional coverage of the press conference in The Oklahoman and Tulsa World.
