“Perry Mason” premiered on CBS. The show ran for nine seasons and 271 episodes. No, Perry did not win every case. Over the run of the series, he lost three, but two were reversed on appeal, so technically he only lost one. Raymond Burr, who played the titular character, was once asked by a fan, “How come you never lose?” He answered, with a straight face, “Madam, you only see the cases I try on Saturdays.” Finally, amaze your friends with this bit of trivia. The iconic theme music for the show has a name. It’s called “Park Avenue Beat.”
