- April 7 – NCPA’s Maximum Fair Price Town Hall. Join NCPA and experts from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services and Beacon MFP for updates on the Medicare Prescription Drug Price Negotiation Program, the Medicare Transaction Facilitator, and Maximum Fair Price refund payments. - April 9 – Men’s Health in America: Key Trends and What Community Pharmacies Should Know. Explore biological, sociocultural, and health access factors influencing men’s health outcomes; men’s attitudes toward health behaviors and health care utilization; and opportunities for community pharmacies to engage male patients through education, counseling, and everyday interactions. - April 10 – Maximizing Impact: Medicaid Cost of Dispensing Surveys. Join NCPA State Panel of Experts member John Coster for a discussion on why pharmacist participation in Medicaid cost of dispensing surveys is critical to ensuring accurate reimbursement and sustaining independent pharmacy operations. - April 15 – Launch of the Diabetes Accreditation Boot Camp. The NCPA Innovation Center and PharmFurther offer this turnkey online course to help prepare participants for diabetes self-management education accreditation in six weeks or less so they can bill Medicare and other payers for diabetes education they’re probably already providing. - April 21 and April 23 – Mental Health First Aid training. This virtual, live training course (this time being held over two days in shorter blocks of time) will help attendees identify, understand, and respond to signs of mental health and substance abuse challenges. Thanks to the Cardinal Health Foundation, registration is available at a reduced rate. Learn more and register by April 17.
- April 23 – The Human Side of Disaster: Supporting Pharmacy Teams and Communities in Crisis. Drawing on firsthand experience responding to Hurricane Helene, this session will offer attendees a real-world look at how one independent pharmacy navigated crisis conditions while supporting staff well-being and continuing patient care. - April 15-16 – Congressional Pharmacy Fly-In, taking place in Alexandria, Va. and Washington, D.C. This is the most important advocacy event on the calendar. Build rapport and foster relationships with those making decisions central to the future of pharmacy. Learn more and register.
- April 18-19 – Business of Long-Term Care Workshop, taking place in Alexandria, Va. This is an intensive crash course on owning and operating a long-term care pharmacy. It will help attendees get started and to grow their LTC offering from a few to a few thousand patients. Learn more and register by March 31.
