Upcoming NCPA Items for Pharmacy Teams

ALEXANDRIA, Va. (Feb. 5, 2025) – The National Community Pharmacists Association is pleased to announce these upcoming events for pharmacists and pharmacy team members:

  • Feb. 5 – Reclaim Your Mind: Strategies for Improving Mental Fitness and Well-Being, part of our NCPA Learning Hour series. Explore practical approaches for applying mental fitness techniques in common pharmacy scenarios to reduce stress, improve decision-making, and enhance patient care. This webinar is sponsored by the Cardinal Health Foundation. Learn more and register.
  • Feb. 13 – The PTAN Connection to Pharmacist Medical Billing: An Interactive Look Using Diabetes Education Billing in the Pharmacy, part of our NCPA Learning Hour series. Provider Transaction Access Numbers allow pharmacists to bill for services beyond medication dispensing. Find out how to get a PTAN and apply basic principles of medical billing to troubleshoot diabetes self-management education claims and denial codes. Learn more and register.
  • Feb. 19-22 – Multiple Locations Conference, at the Wyndham Grand Clearwater Beach in Clearwater Beach, Fla. This is where savvy owners come to learn to manage the complexity that can come with additional stores and discover solutions and strategies to make their pharmacies more successful.   • Feb. 23 – Registration deadline for the Diabetes Accreditation Boot Camp. The NCPA Innovation Center and PharmFurther offer this turnkey online course to help prepare participants for diabetes self-management education accreditation in six weeks or less so they can bill Medicare and other payers for diabetes education they’re probably already providing.   • Feb. 26 – Mental Health First Aid Training, online. Pharmacy team members are more likely to encounter a mental health episode than a situation requiring basic life support or CPR. This live online training course will help attendees identify, understand, and respond to people in need of this assistance. Learn more and register.

Additionally, registration is open for NCPA’s 2025 Congressional Pharmacy Fly-In, taking place April 30 – May 1 in Alexandria, Va., and Washington, D.C.
