The PBM money machine has been showing off again recently, trying to protect its access to your hard-earned money. Between the large (reportedly seven figure) media campaign to share PBM propaganda (lies) and op-eds penned by their cronies in publications across the country, the PBM lobby has been working hard to keep the status quo.
The NCPA PAC is fighting every day to ensure that Congress and the Biden administration know the TRUTH about how PBM business practices are harming your independent community pharmacy. It’s an uphill battle with all the money that the PBM lobby is spending, but we’ve recently gained more powerful allies in this fight. Rep. James Comer (R-Ky.), chairman of the House Committee on Oversight and Accountability, announced that his committee launched an investigation into PBMs and their business practices. They join the Federal Trade Commission, the Senate, and state legislatures looking into unfair PBM business practices. We’re working hard to stay at the table, but we need your support; so how can you help?
Money talks. A monthly investment with the NCPA PAC, just $50/month, can help continue to bring more allies to our side. Think of the investment like taking your legislator out to lunch once a month, ensuring that your voice is at the table when decisions are made about PBMs. As is a common saying in Washington, D.C., if you aren’t at the table, you’re on the menu.
Let’s make sure we stay at the table fighting for free and fair pharmacy! But we can’t do it without your support. Invest with the NCPA PAC today!
Together for community pharmacy,
Hugh Chancy
President,
National Community Pharmacists Association
