Last week the Senate confirmed the nomination of Mehmet Oz, MD, to be director of the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services in a party-line vote. Oz will oversee programs and spending across massive programs like Medicaid, Medicare, and the ACA health insurance exchanges. During his committee confirmation hearing, Oz committed to work with Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) to further PBM reform in his new role as CMS administrator.
