NCPA sent comments to state legislative committees in Oregon and New Hampshire in support of reimbursing pharmacists for clinical services. Oregon’s H.B. 2592 would require the state’s health authority and insurers to reimburse pharmacists for services related to HIV care at the same rate as other providers. In New Hampshire, S.B. 250 allows licensed pharmacists to administer medications through long-acting injectables and includes reimbursement for administration services and counseling. This bill was sponsored by Sen. David Rochefort (R), a second-generation pharmacist and former member of the state’s board of pharmacy.
