NCPA submitted comments to CMS on its proposed Advance Notice for Calendar Year 2026 for Medicare Advantage Capitation Rates and Part C and Part D Payment Policies.
In our comments, NCPA recommended that if the measure of Comprehensive Medication Review completion rate is retired from the Medication Therapy Management program as CMS proposes, the MTM program should implement other methods to modernize the program and recognize pharmacists’ clinical impact as members of the health care team. If CMS chooses to retire the CMR completion rate from the Star Ratings measures, NCPA requested that there be a structured transition plan before removing the current measures.
