Payments from Visa and Mastercard for excessive interchange fees

NCPA August 13, 2024

Visa and Mastercard have agreed to pay $6.24 billion in a class action settlement to all entities from whom they collected excessive interchange fees, and your pharmacy could be one of them. A federal court found that Visa and Mastercard violated antitrust laws by charging excessive fees to businesses and other cardholders.

If you accepted Visa or Mastercard card transactions between Jan. 1, 2004, and Jan. 25, 2019, you may be eligible. The amount paid will depend on the number of claims filed. The final deadline to file a claim is Feb. 4, 2025. Submit your claim here.
