It’s sweet, it’s juicy, and maybe it has offered you a bit of relief this summer. It’s the national fruit of India, Pakistan, and the Philippines. It’s the mango, and today in Off-script, we’re honoring National Mango Day. Mangos originated over 5,000 years ago, according to the National Mango Board. Thriving in tropical and subtropical climates, mango trees can grow up to 60 feet tall and bear fruit 4 to 6 years after planting. But enough with the chitter chatter!
