House Oversight Committee to question CVS, Express Scripts and Optum executives in hearing

On Tuesday, the House Oversight and Accountability Committee announced the third hearing in its ongoing investigation into pharmacy benefit managers’ role in rising health care costs. This hearing will feature testimony by executives from CVS Caremark, Express Scripts, and OptumRx. Chair James Comer (R-Ky.) stated that he is invested in finding out how PBMs are undermining community pharmacies, raising drug prices, and jeopardizing patient care.
