Maryland Gov. Wes Moore (D) signed into law House Bill 76, which allows licensed pharmacists to order and administer flu and COVID-19 vaccines to patients 3 years old and up, and all other ACIP-recommended vaccines to patients 6 years old and up. Maryland is now among the 30+ states that expanded pharmacists’ scope of practice to align with the authorities in the PREP Act declaration for COVID-19 medical countermeasures. That PREP Act declaration expires in December 2024.
