On April 2, FTC chair Lina Khan participated in a roundtable of community pharmacists and NCPA General Counsel Matt Seiler in Philadelphia to discuss, among other things, the anticompetitive and deleterious practices of PBMs, as reported by CBS News on Sunday. The report detailed Khan’s aggressive pursuit of monopolistic practices of Amazon, and signaled her next move against PBMs (utilizing NCPA data), which has drawn bipartisan accolades. "Our focus is on making sure that we are enforcing the rule of law,” she was quoted as saying by CBS. “And I see an enormous amount at risk if you instead sit on your hands and don't address the problems that people face in their day-to-day lives."
