West Virginia now has a fair and transparent reimbursement benchmark in commercial, Medicaid and the state employees’ health plan. This week, Gov. Jim Justice (R) signed SB 453, legislation to create transparency in the Public Employees Insurance Agency (PEIA) by requiring pharmacy reimbursement of NADAC plus a professional dispensing fee based on the State’s Medicaid program. Congratulations to the pharmacy advocates in West Virginia as it was a long, hard fight. NCPA was proud to join in the fight and communicate our support to Gov. Justice, urging him to sign the bill into law.
