Alabama pharmacist Justin Beaty recently spoke out in support of HB 238, the FAIR Meds Act, which the Alabama House of Representatives Insurance Committee sent to the full House for a vote on March 6. As reported in The Community Journal, the bill “proposes to ensure fair reimbursement for Alabama pharmacies, safeguard access to pharmacy services for patients, provide truth and transparency in prescription drug pricing and enhance free market competition.” Beaty thoughtfully refutes the aggressive misinformation campaign by bill opponents that seek to vilify community pharmacists and disparage bill sponsor and NCPA member Rep. Phillip Rigsby (R-Ala.-25). Read about it, and also Beaty’s remarks, in The Community Journal.
