After having its first hearings in March, we are happy to celebrate with the California Pharmacists Association on the passage of AB 317, which expands coverage of pharmacists' services among health care plans and disability insurers. Assembly Bill 317 requires health plans to reimburse pharmacy services if a pharmacist is within network or if a pharmacist is out of network and the plan has an out of network benefit. Once the bill is signed, it will make California the one of the largest states in the country to require payment of services within pharmacy scope of practice.
