Ben McNabb, owner of Eastland’s Love Oak Pharmacy (featured in the July issue of America’s Pharmacist®) recently hosted Rep. Roger Williams (R-Texas) to talk about small business challenges and, “to champion PBM reform to safeguard pharmacy competition,” as he reported on X (formerly Twitter) Wednesday. Love Oak has taken an integrated approach to community pharmacy by opening a gym and health club on its premises. “We wanted to differentiate ourselves with different amenities,” Ben told NCPA’s John Beckner in a recent episode of the Independent Rx Forum podcast. “And when we bundled these amenities, along with 24/7 access [to the fitness club] and prescription discounts, it’s been a great value.”
